As a dealership that has been servicing the automotive needs of consumers within the heart of Metairie, Louisiana for Greater New Orleans for the past forty-two years, kindly note that we are one of a few family owned dealerships in this area with a longevity of this many years. A word or two about Volvo

If one were to ask, what is the finest automobile that can be purchased whose origin comes from an assembly line? Our answer, and I believe you will agree with me once you have owned and driven a Volvo ..... is Volvo! Why do we say this? You will be interested to know that the average age of a Volvo in Sweden is nineteen years. Volvo for life? Certainly Volvo for life has an additional meaning than the results of initiating THE safest automobile on the road last year, this year, or any year!

Volvo in Latin is "I roll!" Each Volvo creates a boron steel shield that protects the occupant in case of a crash while the vehicle has crumple zones, fore and aft, that absorbs the energy created in a crash. Recently Consumer Reports rated most automobiles on the road today. The XC 90 had a rating of 71 out of a hundred while its nearest competitor, a Nissan, was rated at 21 and Honda came in at 17. And when you see a Volvo, (I Roll), res ipsa loquitor ......The thing speaks for itself! Please let us show you many of the innovations features found only in a Volvo. So you want to buy a car! New or Pre-Owned? The following will provide you with the steps you will take.

Our Volvo sales department will be pleased to assist you. Kindly enter our Showroom and one of our Sales Consultants will greet you. If it is a pre-owned Volvo, or perhaps another fine pre-owned automobile you are interested in, just go to our Used Car Building and you will be greeted by one of our Sales Consultants who specialize in pre-owned automobiles.
Currently we have sold most of our 2007 inventory, however the new 2008 models are arriving every day. Whichever selection, our Sales Consultants will be pleased to assist you. You will be given an opportunity to review your particular needs, be shown a variety of different models, and you will be given the opportunity to 'test drive' the automobile of your choice. We will evaluate your own automobile as a probable trade-in. Please know at this moment you will never again be able to obtain as much for your automobile as you can today.
At this point in time you will be directed through the credit application process which is the governing instrument that sets the percentage of interest you will be expected to pay. Your Sales Consultant will explain our 'Privacy Notice' as to whatever information we collect. We are duty bound to protect your 'non-public information,' and we will treat you with the same respect as your bank does in the manner in which it protects your deposits.
Your Sales Consultant and our Staff will work with you so as to establish the best possible price for the car of your selection. Be sure to ask about our European Delivery Plan in which Volvo will furnish you two airline tickets to Gothenburg, Sweden at no cost to you, provide you with accommodations for one night, and a choice of a tour through the factory or a tour through the 'Crash Center' during which you can view a crash of a new Volvo prior to the delivery of your own new Volvo. Following delivery you may take your new Volvo and tour Europe before delivering your new Volvo to any number of ports for shipment to the United States.....Or perhaps you would like to examine Volvo's most attractive leasing program.
While your Sales Consultant and our Staff will arrive at the best possible price for you of the car of your choice, neither he nor she will be able to quote you a payment or the amount of interest. This comes next as payments and interest are the singular responsibility of our Business Managers, also referred to as Finance and Insurance Directors.
Your Business Manager will explain the ready availability of additional services you may want to select. He will also, with your credit application in hand, contact Volvo Car Finance, or one or more banks that will service your credit application. Any question that you may now have you can address to him. Our Business Manager will conclude all of the details, and with your signing each of the instruments presented to you, you will now be eligible to take delivery of your new or pre-owned car.
In the interim, Bergeron Volvo will have detailed your car, added gas to the gas tank, , and prepared for you a temporary license tag, (Your permanent license tag will be applied for in your name(s). And once the new tag has been collected by Bergeron Volvo, you will receive a post card notifying that you may pick up your new tag from Bergeron Motors' Receptionist).
Your Sales Consultant will go over your car with you explaining in detail all of the car's functions. He or she will introduce you to one of Volvo's remarkable Service Advisers; Peter Breaux and/or Lawrence Banks with whom you will communicate either in person or by telephone when your car needs service or repair.
Please know that we welcome your return to Bergeron Volvo as all of us are professionally dedicated to you and to your purchase that you may have many months and years of good and faithful service.
In review, it may seem that there are a lot of steps that one must go through in the purchase of an automobile. While at times it may seem to be a lengthy process, we want the experience to be as enjoyable as possible.

How does one acquire a new Volvo?

There are several ways to acquire a new Volvo; (1) By out-right purchase, (2) By purchasing through the use of your trade-in or by a deposit, with the balance to be paid in monthly increments over a period of time, (3) perhaps by utilizing one of a number of attractive lease programs, (4) or by taking European delivery.
Elsewhere we are covering the purchase procedure where you work with your Sales Consultant so as to arrive at a final price, or perhaps, the lease and the amount our Pre-Owned Department will allow for your trade.
Then there is available to you .......European Delivery. This is most attractive as the price you pay should be less than you will pay for American delivery. You select the model of your choice and Bergeron Volvo will order it for you for an agreed to date when you can pick up your new Volvo at the factory in Gothenberg, Sweden. Volvo will furnish you with two round trip tickets to and from Europe, initially to Gothenberg on SAS. You and your spouse, or friend will be provided with accommodations at no cost to you for one night. The following day you are, prior to delivery, given a choice of touring the Volvo factory or through the Volvo Crash Center where you will be able to view a new Volvo being crashed as Volvo continues its program, Volvo for Life! Then, as you receive your new Volvo, you are able to begin your European vacation. Arrangement will already have been made to select a port of departure when your new Volvo will be received for shipment to the United States with ultimate delivery to Bergeron Volvo, then with a second delivery of your new Volvo to you here. The singular stipulation for European delivery is that it is a cash purchase.
The Bergeron VIP Service Program available to all Bergeron Volvo customers who have purchased or leased a new Volvo from us, once you have made your purchase you can then enjoy the fruits of this program:
At Bergeron Volvo in purchasing a new Volvo one would expect exceptional treatment. You are going to receive it from Bergeron Volvo. To start with, your needing service or simply an oil change, all you need do is to contact either of our Service Advisers Peter Breaux or Lawrence Banks who will gladly set you up with an appointment .... no waiting. And if your requirements are that your Volvo should be left with us for service or repair then you may exercise the ready availability of one of our loaner fleet of Volvo's. The only additional requirement is that you carry in your own name 100/300/50 automobile insurance. With proof of insurance the availability of the Volvo loaner is yours. This service remains in place during the warranty period; 50,000 miles on the odometer or four years. May we have your Email address? We want to communicate with you through our audio/visual Emails.

Yes, we would like to continue our relationship with you by sending you over time a series of visual/audio Emails. We will provide you with information you may receive first through this vehicle of communication. Perhaps special sales that are going on, the release of a new automobile with new and outstanding features. And then from our Service Department special sales or information a wide variety of products that you may apply to your own car. From time to time there will be recalls where we request that you return to Bergeron Volvo so that we can make the recommended factory adjustment.
When you are in contact with us, such as visiting us for service or perhaps examining our fine stable of new cars, would you please furnish us with your Email address? Then as you are examining the Emails you have received for a given day, would you access that Email that may be identified as having originated at either Bergeron Volvo or Bergeron Motors, Inc. You are wondering, is this a good time to trade-in your automobile?

Volvo's are exceptionally well built automobiles designed not only to be the best there is for safety, but for longevity as well. In Sweden, in a harsh climate, the average age of a Volvo is nineteen, yes nineteen years. Meanwhile the average retention of a new car in America is 5.3 years. This was not always the case. In the generation before us the purchaser of a new car was traditionally every three years. The manufacturers could count on this turn around. Many manufacturer's cars failed to last longer than three years. In fact one automobile manufactured by one of the big three was designed to rust out after 100,000 miles. Today 200,000 miles or more is common place.
Then it was observed in Detroit that certain European automobile manufacturers were building a better automobile. Volvo was just one of those makes. Meanwhile Ford copied the Audi 100 and came out with the Taurus model in 1978. Chrysler and General Motors quickly followed suit. So today the purchaser can rely on performance, longevity along with many added features. With Volvo many of those features relate to safety while other features relate to exceptional performance. As such the result is the sheer enjoyment of driving his or her Volvo.
So lets get back to the question, is this a good time to trade-in your automobile? You bet it is!
Your automobile will never again be as valuable as it is today! Yes, we sell new automobiles, but then we are also in the used or pre-owned automobile business. Some of the trade-ins we keep and offer them for sale, (those trade-ins we believe to be exceptional), while others we will wholesale. Whatever the condition of your trade-in there will never be a better time to trade than today!
A further note: Just why are our pre-owned automobiles so valuable? For one, we thoroughly examine every automobile considered for a trade. We will give the purchaser of a new Volvo the very best price for his trade. And then , in our examination, we will take out the dings, replace the battery, if needed, perhaps the brakes or tires, so that each pre-owned automobile that we deliver may receive no less than a 3,000 mile warranty.
